Institut Dr. Foerster recently appointed Tommie L. Nilsson, M. Sc., Ph. D., as the new President of Foerster Instruments Inc.

Most recently Tommie joins Foerster from Bohler Uddeholm AG where he served as President and CEO for approximately five years.
Tommie brings to Foerster a total of 25 years experience throughout the Steel Industry, both in the US and Europe, mostly in long products: tube, pipe and wire.  Ten of those years were in the Aerospace Industry with Firth Rixson’s North American operation.  He has a Ph. D. and a Masters degree from the Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He states, “I have been fortunate that my career has given me exposure to many different facets of the industry, as well as, different customer segments with four different companies.”  Prior to Bohler Uddeholm AG, Tommie held the position of Vice President of Marketing for Ovako Steel, Stockholm.
